Urine is urine!
UrineFREE is an all- in- one product that does the job on all urine.
All urine consists of urea, urochrome and uric acid crystals.
Some general cleaners can remove the water soluble components of urine (urea and urochrome) but leave behind the non-soluble uric acid crystals that retain the odour and stain.
These crystals attach to surfaces and are very difficult to dislodge.
Any humidity or dampness will trigger the dormant crystals bringing back the odour.
UrineFREE is a combination of specifically selected enzymes and bacteria that digest the uric acid crystals and also remove the urea and urochrome components of urine. UrineFREE is safe to use around children and pets and is bio-degradable.
How to locate urine
Many people say that they can smell the urine but can't find it.
UrineFREE Urine Detector solves that problem .
To use the urine detector's LED technology, darken the room and shine the torch and be your own CSI investigator.
Dried urine will fluoresce, then treat it according to the directions on the bottle or this website.
After treatment check again with the UrineFREE Urine Detector to see if you got it all.
To understand how Urine-Free™ works, it is important to know a little about urine.
Urine, whether human or animal, has three main components:
1 Urea, a slightly sticky substance;
2 Urochrome, gives urine its yellow colour
3 Uric Acid is a mild acid, rich in nitrogen.
Uric acid contains non-soluble salt crystals, which present the biggest challenge to removing urine from surfaces and fabrics.
The first two components can be washed away with ordinary cleaning and commercially-available urine odour products, but the uric acid crystals are extremely insoluble and remain tightly bonded to the surface. After initial cleaning and drying with ordinary products, it may appear that the problem is solved. However, any type of moisture will reactivate those remaining crystals and the smell returns, as strong as ever.
There are a number of urine odour products available to the retail customer.
Most are composed of surfactants (detergents) and a masking agent.
A few also employ enzymes and some use alcohol as a solvent.
Still others are chemicals, whose molecules encapsulate, or coat, the urine molecules to “seal in” the odour.
The shortcomings of these approaches are that the odour is usually addressed only temporarily, and the stain most times not at all.
None appear to have success with old, dried urine deposits.
In the case of pets, the problem is compounded because of their territory-marking behaviour and their very acute sense of smell.
Even when the urine odour has been rendered imperceptible to humans, animals detect it and are compelled to re-apply their own scent!
So once an animal has “gone” in one spot, they frequently return to it again and again, no matter what we do.
But now…there is Urine-Free™. Urine-Free™ contains bacteria and enzymes that were painstakingly isolated and specifically selected for their appetite for "eating" the urine salt crystals in addition to removing the other components of urine.
It costs more to make a product this specialised and this concentrated ... but the results are worth it!
Effectively removing these crystals is what distinguishes Urine-Free™ from other products.
With the source of the odour AND the stain removed, the problem is solved.
Urine-Free™ has a pleasant citrus fragrance and even that disappears when the product dries.
How well does Urine-Free work?
• So well that even long-neglected problem areas with the highest concentrations of urine residue are quickly taken care of…
• So well that even dogs and cats can’t detect the urine odour, which greatly aids in breaking unwanted behaviour patterns…
• So well that Public Works departments, nursing homes, and flooring installers worldwide (to name just a few industrial users), are solving some of their toughest challenges with

FAQs
How does UrineFREE work?
Urine comprises three major difficult-to-remove chemical compounds. Masking agents and deodorisers merely cover the urine odour with another fragrance. Alcohol or solvent-based products remove some of the compounds but do not remove the insoluble urine salt crystals. These crystals are the source of odours that return in humid conditions, even after ‘cleaning’.
On the other hand, UrineFREE's microbial components actually digest the urine deposits at the source of the odour and remove tough stains.

How does UrineFREE get rid of urine odour deep down in a carpet?
UrineFREE seeps down through the carpet to the underlay and floor to follow the urine spillage.
Always spray or stream sufficient product to ensure the top of the carpet is soaking wet.
As this happens, the urine odour may initially be stronger and the colour darker as urine rises to the surface.
Keep treating until odour and stain are gone.
How much UrineFREE do I need to use?
It depends on the amount of urine in the carpet. Urine accumulation can be significant if pets repeatedly urinate in the same area. If you have urine odour and stains throughout the house, a 500ml bottle won’t be sufficient unless your house is the size of a closet!

How do I keep my pet away from the area?
If they can’t be kept away, try placing your pet's feeding bowl in the area, as they don’t like urinating where they eat.
Alternatively, cover the area with some pre-crumpled aluminium foil (with holes for evaporation).
Should I use UrineFREE before or after steam cleaning or shampooing my carpet?
Cleaning agents, including steam cleaning or shampooing, result in spreading urine crystal residue over a wide area.
So always use UrineFREE on urine stains before steam cleaning or shampooing.
Steam cleaning carpet stained with urine can disperse crystals over a wide area resulting in odour returning in moist or humid conditions.
Can I use UrineFREE on my Oriental rug?
Yes, but you should test colourfastness on a small or hidden area first, as many rugs are coloured with vegetable dyes which are not colourfast.
If colours do not run, it is safe to use the product on your rug.
Can I use UrineFREE on mattresses?
Yes, you can use UrineFREE on any water-safe upholstered product including mattresses.
In order that the product follows the path of the urine, complete saturation and a two-to three-week drying period is necessary before odour will be completely eliminated.
Can UrineFREE be used on concrete floors?
Yes.
Concrete is porous and odours can be difficult to eliminate.
Saturate the concrete to be treated, let dry and rinse away the residue.
Several applications may be required.
Does UrineFREE work on cat spray?
Yes.
To remove offensive cat odours, simply spray the area with UrineFREE.
No Scrubbing or washing is necessary.
UrineFree specifically targets and destroys the non-soluble urine crystals responsible for the strong cat odour.
Can I clean my cat’s litter box with UrineFREE?
Litter boxes can absorb urine and produce urine odours no matter how often you wash them.
Instead, treatment with UrineFREE can assist in an odour-free litter box.
Simply empty the litter box, wash and dry, spray all surfaces of the litter box, inside and out, with UrineFree and allow to air dry.
Check for any remaining odour.
If there has been a build-up of urine more than one treatment may be required.
